Paolo and Allison Domeneghetti created their blog LiveWine because they wanted to share their love of great wine and food and the many interesting people they have met in their ten-year-long adventure in the wine industry. “Wine is about places, wine is about people,” says Paolo, “and I wanted to share that with my friends and colleagues. It seems like yesterday but for ten years, Allison and I have been traveling the world, meeting producers, making new friends, and tasting wines together. We wanted to share that experience and a blog seemed the best way to do it. Sometimes we look at each other over the dinner table — whether at Jean Georges in Manhattan or the Caffè Meletti in Ascoli Piceno — and ask ourselves, ‘was it just a dream?’”
When the young couple launched their business, Domaine Select Wine Estates, in 1999, little did they know that it would grow into one of the top U.S. importers and distributors of fine wine and artisanal spirits from around the world, including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Chile, France, French West Indies, Germany, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain and the United States.
Allison and Paolo reside in Scarsdale, New York, with their three children and are proud to bring you LiveWine. Enjoy!
